If you are photographing at home you can still achieve versatility in your photos by creating your photo set or using different photography backdrops.

I wrote this article to provide 7 tips to help you change your space to improve versatility in your photography.

I suggest you try more than one tip simultaneously for more efficient results.

It will start from a simple original space, that is build it up to a different scenario. Each step has photo examples to help you.

Let’s get started!

Choose a well-illuminated space. Make sure it is clean and remove all the distractions you can.

3. Use plants and other decorations to change it up

Use props strategically to bring focus to your subject. Plants are great for framing.

4. Cover the floor

The floor is the biggest teller you never left your house. Use carpets or blankets to cover it. You can also use paper.

7. Use a different area of the room

Don’t always photograph in the same space. Use different rooms or a corner of the house instead of a full wall.
